Earl I. Hendricks, 80, of Kalkaska, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1989 at home.
Mr. Hendricks moved to Kalkaska in the early 1930's, and was a retired farmer. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Farm Bureau.
Mr. Hendricks was born in Allegan County on June 14, 1909, to Andrew and Huberdena VendenBerg Hendricks. On Feb. 20, 1930, in Grand Rapids, he was married to Dorothy Whittemore. She preceded him in death on June 13, 1986.
Surviving are three sons, Ival and Neil both of Kalakska, and Carl of Grand Rapids; two daughters, Shirley Johnson of Kalkaska, and Doronda Somers of Alaska; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
One daughter, Dolly, preceded him in death.
Family committal services were held Thursday, Nov 30, 1989, at the Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
Memorial services were held Sunday, Dec. 3, 1989, at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Traverse City. Fred Marsh officiated.
