Earl Bavin Jr, 85, of Trout Creek passed away Wed., Jul 17, 2013 at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Long Term Care Unit. He was born June 8, 1928 in Kalkaska, MI to Earl Sr and Jennie (Wonsey) Bavin. On April 24, 1959 he married Linda (Pennock) Erskine in Union City, MI.
Earl worked as a truck driver for many years, and was very active in the Watersmeet Bible Church where he served as a greeter and usher. He was alos a member of the Ottowa Lions Club and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Earl is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Drew (Sara), Shirley Pratt, Ann (John) Pennock, Devis (Michael) Toll, Debra (Calvin) Allgaier and William (Veora) Erskine. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Sr, and Jennie; and siblings Clinton, ORa, and Emma.
A memorial service for Earl will be held Wed, Jul 24, 2013 at 11am Eastern at the Watersmeet Bible Church. Friends may gather from 10am Eastern until the time of service. A luncheon will follow.
