Mrs. Eadvega A. Brown, 88, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Aug 10, 1996, at her home.
She was born in Lithuania on Oct 7, 1907, to Charlie and Mary Grickas Buragas. She came to Michigan in 1921, and on May 12, 1924, in Mancelona, was married to Albert Reed Brown. He preceded her in death on Sep 21, 1971.
She is survived by her children, Albert K (Catherine) Brown, Allan S. (Diana) Brown, James Brown, and Mary (John) Smith all of Kalkaska; two daughters in law, Betty Brown of Kalkaska, and Marianne Brown of Englewood, FL; one sister, Alice (Arthur) Estelle of Gaylord; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and four step grandchildren.
Two sons, Joseph and John, and one granddaughter, Lisa Verastegui, preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tue, Aug 13, 1996, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Patrick J Barrett officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony Cemetery in Mancelona.
The Rosary was recited at 7:30 pm Monday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Arrangements by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
