Duane Stobbe, 69, of Kingsley, formerly of Dearborn Heights, passed away peacefully at Munson Medical Center on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018. Duane was surrounded by his family. Duane was born May 6, 1949 in Detroit to the late Dolly and Richard Stobbe. For many years Duane sang in the St. Christopher Catholic Choir. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Duane served active military duty in the U.S. Army and in 1971 received an honorable discharge. Duane is survived by his fiancé, Bev Kroning. An avid sports fan, especially hockey and football, he also enjoyed reading mysteries and painting. His love will live on forever in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family received excellent service from Life Story Funeral Home and would recommend them to anyone.
