Mrs. Fay Wheeler, 26, a native of England, died suddenly at her home in Fife Lake last Thursday evening following a two day illness. Bulbar polio is believed to have caused the death, according to the report of the autopsy preformed Friday. This is the most dangerous type of infantile paralysis.
Dorothy Rita Beagles was born in London England, on Sept. 17, 1925. On June 9, 1945 she was united in marriage to Fay Wheeler of Fife Lake, and to this union were born three children.
Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the Church of England.
Surviving her are the husband and three daughters, Janet, Susan, and Sherry, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Beagles of England; two brothers, Roger and Cyril of England; one sister, Mrs. Edna Thornton, also of England, and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 from the Fife Lake Methodist Church with burial in Springfield township Cemetery.
