Dorothy Lee Nice, 68, of Kalkaska, went to sleep and woke up in Heaven on Wed, Jul 28, 2010. She was born on Jul 26, 1942 in Detroit, the daughter of the late George and Helen Nice Sr.
Dorothy had the biggest and warmest heart you ever knew. She loved her family with all of it. She was always smiling and making us smile. Dorothy loved Tweety Bird and Tinkerbell Puzzles, crossword books, and collecting pens, pencils, and crayons.
Surviving Dorothy are her siblings, Lois (Louis) Paynter, George (Mary) Nice Jr, all of Kalkaska, and William Nice of Northport; as well as many nieces and nephews that were like her children.
Dorothy will rest in peace with her parents and there will be a private service with her family. It is comforting to know Dorothy is in Heaven, "where troubles melt like lemon drops high above the chimney tops." Always smile when you think of her as that is what she will be doing.
