Dorothy Anna Krause, 90, of Perry, formerly of Kalkaska and Williamston, died Fri, Mar 26, 1999, in Lansing. She was born Jul 5, 1908, in Detroit, to Charles and Etta Marshall. Mrs. Krause was raised by her aunt and uncle, Edward and Gertrude Anderson of Big Rapids. 

Mrs. Krause retired from sears and Roebuck in 1964 and was also an employee of the Detroit Telephone Co. At her retirement she moved to a quaint little home on the Manistee River which she dearly loved. Four years ago she moved to Perry to live with her son and daughter in law. Mrs. Krause was an avid reader. She was a charter member of Memorial Lutheran Church of Williamston, St. Paul's Lutheran in Kalkaska and most recently a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Perry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer A Krause in 1994, after 67 years of marriage; her parents and aunts and uncles. 

Mrs. Krause is survived by her son, Marshall A. (Barbara) Krause of Perry; granddaughters Tracy L (James) Bryant of Jacksonville, FL and Darcy G (Daniel) Austin of Webberville; great grandchildren Michael and Courtney Bryant, Corbin, Bodie, and Danielle Austin; brother Charles Marshall of Ash Ford, AZ, and loyal pets Joshua and Heidi, whom she loved very much. 

Funeral services were held Mar 29, 1999, at Nelson-House Funeral Homes (LaRowe Chapel) in Perry with Pastor Ted Turanski of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Kalkaska officiating. Internment followed in Summit Cemetery, Williamston. 

Memorials may be made to the Laingsburg Public Library or to Hospice of Lansing.
