Donald R. Owen, 67, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Dec 17, 1994, at his residence.
Mr. Owen was born in Lansing on Mar 21, 1927, to Ralph and Della Sneeberger Owen. On Dec 24, 1949, in Pontiac, he married Fidalis Patton who preceded him in death on Feb 26, 1976.
Mr. Owen moved to Kalkaska from Oxford in 1973. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he had been employed by Alken-Ziegler in Kalkaska. He enjoyed being the "Kalkaska Handyman."
Surviving are one son, Donald Owen of Lapeer; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sherrie) Irish of Kalkaska; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thu, Dec 22, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Max Tracey officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
