Thank your for your service

Donald L. Dimon, born Apr 26, 1934, passed away Jul 8, 2010. Don was the son of the late Roy and Blanche (Hill) Dimon.

Don was a man of few words but was always a hard worker and prided himself as a man who always gave 110 percent in everything he did. He was a man who could build a home, fix almost anything, and was running the family farm at the age of 16. Don could drive the largest truck, work as an oilfield driller, a lumberjack; he was a man of many skills. His family always came first and his wants and needs were always last. He raced cars and sled dogs, and enjoyed fishing and camping. Don served in the US Army during the Korean War as a paratrooper and parachute rigger.

In 1952, he married the late Elza (Judd) Dimon and became the proud father of Tim, Bruce, Colleen (Rourke), Brian, and Brad Dimon. His first wife and his first born son, Tim preceded him in death.

On Apr 26, 1986 he married Sharon Ferguson Gerls, who survives, and became "Dad" to William "Bill" Ferguson. He became the "Grandpa" to many grand and great grandchildren in which he took great pride. Don left this world surrounded by those he loved in the home he built.

He demanded respect, and treasured good family values. The only material think that would light up his eyes and make him smile like a child as Christmas was a new "cap" for his collection. He will be forever missed.

Services will be held for friends and family at Spencer Church of Christ Sat, Jul 17, at 1 pm.
