Donald I Osburn, 66, 4 Prospct Drive, founder of Osburn Kemical Co, died at his home Satruday afternoon.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. Torman-George Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. 

Osburn was born in 1909 at Port Orchard, WA. He was reared in Seattle and attended the University of Washington. He came to Great Falls in the 1930s. He was employed by Montana Power Co and later worked as a car salesman. 

He established the chemical firm in 1944. It was incorporated in 1952. He retired from active business Jul 1, 1974. 

Osburn was a past vice president of Cascade County Wildlife Association and a past chairman of the Chamber of Commerce aviation committee. He was also a member of Euclid Lodge 58, AF & AM, and other Masonic organizations, Elks Lodge 214, Montana Pilots Association and Sierra Club. 

He was the Republican nominee for the Montana Senate in District 19 (Largent, Emerson, Longfellow, Parkdale, Eagles Manor and Sunnyside precincts) in 1974. 

He married Lucille Snyder of Great Falls, Feb 27, 1938 in Newport, WA. She survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Donna) Warren of Great Falls; a grandson, Wilton Osburn Warren, of Great Falls, and a brother, Earl S Osburn of Miami, FL.
