Donald A. Bennett, a long time northern Michigan resident, died on March 3, 2008. He was 83.
Mr. Bennett was a decorated WWII 6th Army veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater in the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
He was married to Ione Stuart Bennett, deceased, and worked for many years at both Spartan Stores and Purchases Sales.
Mr. Bennett was survived by his only daughter, Pamela, who resides in California when she isn't traveling.
