Delilah Isabelle Koch, 86, of Kalkaska passed away Jan 1, 2005 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center - LTC. 

She was born in Muskegon on Jan 13, 1918, the daughter of Edward and Lottie Deater. 

In 1940, she married Stanley Koch and they moved to Detroit where Delilah worked as a machinist, making parts for airplanes, guns, jeeps, and bombers. 

She worked in the office for Super Tool of Elk Rapids until she retired. 

One of Delilah's greatest pleasures was to be with her nieces and nephews. 

She also loved going to the Commission of Aging, as she enjoyed the meals and loved seeing her friends there. 

Delilah was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting as well. She was also a reader and would read about anything she could get her hands on. 

Surviving are her brother, Virgil Deater of Kalkaska; nephews, Michael Deater of Kalkaska, Allen and Margaret Deater of Kingsley, and Donald and Patty Deater of Kalamazoo, great nephews and great nieces, Ashley Deater of Kalkaska, Jason Deater of Kingsley, Thomas and Becky Deater of Kalamazoo, Tina Deater of Lake Mary, FL, and Christopher Deater of Kalkaska; and great great niece Julia Deater of Kalkaska. 

Delilah was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 1963. 

Funeral services were held Jan 4 at Wolfe Funeral Home, with Rev William Kuiper of Evergreen Bible Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Excelsior Township Cemetery in the spring when the weather permits.
