Dean Orlen Cookingham, formerly of Kalkaska and Reed City passed away on Fri, Aug 6, 2010 in Byrdstown, TN at the age of 47. Dean was born Jan 10, 1963 in Mt Gilead, OH, the son of the late Orlen Cookingham and Janette McDowell.
Dean was a sweet man with a good heart who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughter, Krissy (Brandon) Allen; three grandchildren; two sisters, Diane (Gilbert) Skorupski of Bay City, and Darlene (Tom) Olszewski of Grayling. Dean is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Stevie Stromski, Stacey Skorupski, and Spencer Skorupski; and a host of many relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Sat, Sep 25 at the McDowell Funeral Home in Reed City. Rev Dawn Pooley from St Paul Lutheran Church officiating and inurnment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of McDowell Funeral Home, Reed City.
