David Howard Shelek, 64, of Wheeling, died Sun, Jul 19, 2009 in Wheeling hospital.
He was born Jan 8, 1945 in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Charles and Charlotte Burkhart Shelek.
He worked for Blaw-Knox Corporation, Keg & Kraut Restaurant and most recently for Wheeling Central Catholic High School.
He was a member of the Iola Club of South Wheeling.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Donald Shelk, and one sister, Bonnie Cheslick.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Debbie Shieffalo Shelek; one son, David Michael Shelek and his wife Kristin; four grandchildren, Becca, Kate, Jake, and Luke Shelek of Harrisburg, PA.
Also surviving are brothers and sisters; Ronald (Diane) Shelek, James (Ann) Shelek, Robert (Sandy) Shelek, Constance (Robert) Stahl, Paulette (Robert) Stenger, all of Wheeling, two sisters in law, Joan Shelek and Mary Shelek of Wheeling, his faithful fishing buddy, Caleb Shelek and also several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Wed, Jul 22, 2009 from 1-3 pm and 5pm until the time of service at 7pm with the Reverend Dr. Linda M. Glass officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Donald H. Shelek Memorial fund c/o Debra Shelek, 132 Pierce St. Wheeling, WV.
