David H Feeley, 64, passed away Feb 13, 2009, at his home in Fife Lake. He was born Feb 2, 1945, in Flint, the son of Harry William and Constance Marie (Calkins) Feeley.
David is a Kalkaska High School graduate. He married the former Sandra Jo Elliott on Jan 9, 1965, in Traverse City.
David retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Upon retiring, he worked for the Kalkaska Public Schools as a bus driver. He then worked for Michigan Stone Landscaping and eventually went back to driving a school bus.
David enjoyed spending time with his family. He was very kind-hearted and loved to tell stories. David was known for always saying "Never fear when Papa's here." He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
David is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Sandi; his dear children, Shanna Lee (Raymond) Feeley of Fife Lake, Sharra Ann (Tim) Ford of Fife Lake, and Shaya Lyn (John) Feeley of St Johns; his siblings, Vye Ward Feeley of Alaska, Connie Faye (John) Richardson of Granbury, TX, and Duronda Lyn (Tim) Twigg of Alaska and his six precious grandchildren, Paige Feeley, Krystal Pratt, David Bentley, Ty Young, Andrea Cavanaugh and Kain Park.
David was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Lonnie Lee Feeley.
Visitation for David was on Sun, Feb 15, 2009, from 6 to 8 pm at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
The funeral service was Mon, Feb 16 at 1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Kimberland Hough officiating. Burial will be at Garfield Township Cemetery in the spring.
