Dale Nestell, age 77, of Traverse City, went to be with the Lord on Wed, Aug 16, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela (Calangelo) Nestell; his children, Dean and Noi, Glenn, Michael and Tammy, Laura and Peter; his grandchildren, Emma, Trevor, Benjamin, Faith, William, Jacob, Nico, Jonathan; his brothers in law and sisters in law, Jack and Debbie, Chris, Gina, Sid, Dody; his aunt, Joanne; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Emma Jane and William; his father, Richard; mother in law, Nellie Heidenberger; brother in law, Randy Hoy. Dale proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Dale enjoyed spending time outdoors and with his grandchildren as well as working in his woodshop. Funeral services for Dale will be held on Tue, Aug 22, at 10 am at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 334 La Grave Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at VanderLaan Funeral Home on Mon, Aug 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and on Tuesday from 9 to 10am at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Holy Cross Antiochian Orthodox Church.
