Dale Charles Matznick, 79, of Hadley/Lapeer, died on Monday, March 8, 2010. He was born on August 22, 1930 to Charles and Murle (Stacy) Matznick, at the family farm on Mitchell Road, here in Lapeer. Dale proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he was wounded in action. He retired in 1979 from Buick Motors, where he was a machine repairman. In 1978 he married Elaine Dix, they have enjoyed traveling together throughout their marriage. They especially loved spending their winters in Harlingen, Texas for the past 25 years.
Mr. Matznick is survived by his wife, Elaine of Hadley/Lapeer, step-children, Brad (Lisa) Stinson of Elsie, MI, Lori (Garry) Sullivan of Ovid, MI, Lisa (Ken) Herrick of Ovid, MI and Lynne (Mike) Beamish of Owosso; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; siblings Dean (Dolly) Matznick of Lapeer and Doris Parrish of Grand Rapids; as well as several nieces and nephews.
