Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 1972 at the Schwartz-Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska for Dahlia J. Burkett, 62, and her two sons, Carl, 3, and Charles, 2, victims of a fire which occurred in their housetrailer in Fife Lake Monday morning, January 3, 1972.
The services wre conducted by the Rev. Eugene Witzig and burial was made in Springfield cemetery, Kalkaska county.
Mrs. Burkett was born July 11, 1945 in Kalkaska county, the daughter of Delbert and Dori Ingersoll. She graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1965.
Surviving are her husband, Carl L. Burkett Sr., of Traverse City; her parents, Delbert and Doris Ingersoll of Fife Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Delores) Baldwin of Detroit and Mrs. Jim (Donna) Brewer of South Boardman and a grandmother, Mrs. Nora Bourne of Kalkaska.
