Clarence H. Ingersoll, 68, of South Branch, died Saturday, June 2, 1990, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Ingersoll moved to South Branch in 1974, from Clarkston, following his retirement from General Motors. He served in the U.S. Army during WW2, and was a member of V.F.W. Post 1370 in Pontiac, and the Tawas Post of Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of St. Pious X Catholic Church in Hale, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling.
Mr. Ingersoll was born in Kalkaska County on Feb. 4, 1922, to Harry and Zelma Barber Ingersoll. On Nov 23, 1940, in Crystal Falls he was married to Marjorie Sunio who preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 1978.
One brother, Elmer, and two sisters, Maxine and Ethel, also preceded him in death.
Surviving are three sons, David Ingersoll of Port St. Jucie, Fla., Jeffrey Ingersoll of Roswell, New Mexico, and Michael Ingersoll of Fort Pierce, Fla.; one daughter Karolyn Hagerman of Oscoda; two brothers, William Ingersoll of Kalkaska, and Wayne Ingersoll of Fife Lake; two sisters, Frieda Eckholm of Kentwood, and Emma Bridson of Fife Lake; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, 1990, at the Forshee Funeral Home in Hale. Father Thomas Kaiser officiated. Burial was n Evergreen Cemetery in Hale.
