CLARA WAGAR
Clare Mae Wagar, 85, of Saginaw and formerly of Gladwin County, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Saginaw Community Hospital.
Born in Sanilac County on December 25, 1890, she came to Gladwin County as a young child and lived in Butman Township. She had been making her home in Saginaw with her brother the past six years.
Mrs. Wagar was a member of the Gleaners and The Church of the Brethren in Christ.
The former Clara Westover, she was married to Everton Wagar on October 13, 1909, in Gladwin. He preceded her in death in 1969.
Surviving is one brother, Clarence Westover of Saginaw; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Melvin Stauffer officiated and burial was in the Butman Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 11-24/1976
