Christine "Cris" Frances Taber, 47, of Fife Lake died Monday at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Loving wife of James M. Taber and mother of Georgia R. Urquhart of Traverse City; grandson, Johnny Urquhart.
Born July 31, 1956 in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Robert M. and Sally D. (Crisanti) O'Hare.
A resident of the area since 1997, Cris had been employed as a certified respiratory therapist for Airway-Oxygen in Cadillac. She was a member of the National Board of Respiratory Care and was generous to Right to Life. Cris enjoyed landscaping, playing the fiddle and reading.
Along with her husband and daughter, she is also survived by her mother, Sally O'Hare and father Robert O'Hare, both of Palos Heights, Ill., brothers, Michael (Ruth) O'Hare of New York and Mark (Rita) O'Hare of California; sister in law, Colleen O'Hare of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
Cris was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond O'Hare.
Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fife Lake on Friday, Aug 15, 2003, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Patrick Maher will serve as celebrant.
Burial will be in Clark Cemetery, Fife Lake.
