Cheryl Louise Carlson, age 72, of Cheboygan, passed away peacefully at home on Aug 4, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on Jun 13, 1950 in Dearborn, MI, the daughter of Harry and Eloise (Atkins) Blaisdell. On May 10, 1969 Cheryl married her beloved husband Thomas Carlson at St. Pauls Methodist Church. Tom and Cheryl planted their roots on Riggsville Rd on top of the hill at the Carlson Farm where they raised their family.

As a young girl, Cheryl enjoyed ice skating and was a cheerleader in high school. Cheryl was always known for her radiant smile and contagious laugh. Many of her friendships started when she co-owned and worked at the Country Corner Store in Riggsville.

Once they were blessed with grandchildren, they were the center of her world. Grammy loved each and every one of the “ten”. Cheryl was always ready to cook a meal or teach them how to roll a good pie crust. All enjoyed her moist German chocolate cake that she made for many birthdays.

Cheryl really enjoyed being in her flower garden and canning vegetables. She could often be spotted “getting her fix” at the local thrift stores in town.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband Tom Carlson, her children; Michelle (Chris) Lopiccolo, Mellisa (Stacy) LaLonde, and Deanna (Dave) Hudson, her grandchildren; Taylor (Sam) Scott, Abigail (Jordan) Corwin, Anthony (Julia) LaLonde, Joslyn LaLonde, Sage LaLonde, Emma Hudson, Anna Hudson, Elizabeth Lopiccolo, Daniel Hudson, and Carley Lopiccolo., great grandchild: Eloise Corwin; siblings, Sharon Crocker, Ronald Blaisdell, Patrick Blaisdell, Susan Fuislier, and Jeffery Blaisdell. Cheryl is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and countless close friends.
