Charles Palmer, 77, died Thu afternoon at the Boardman Valley hospital following a short illness. Born in Victory, New York Feb 2, 1868, he came to Empire when a young man. For the past 30 years he had resided near Silver Lake.
He was married to Olive Austin in Southern Michigan. To this union were born two children.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Robinson of Cadillac and Corp. Henry Palmer of the US Army in Belgium; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; a brother, Asa of Colorado.
The body was taken to the Simpson Funeral Home to remain until time of services to be held Mon afternoon at 2:3. Interment will be made in the mausoleum until spring.
