Mr. Charles Meilleur, 88, died Oct 12, 1998, at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City.
He was a resident of Kalkaska since 1973, and a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, and the VFW. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII.
Mr. Meilleur was born Mar 24, 1910, in Grand Marais to Oliver and Ada Meilleur.
Survivors include his beloved wife Leona (Gullickson) of Kalkaska, whom he married in 1965; sons Lee of Baton Rouge, LA, and Donald of Commerce Township; daughter Nancy of Walled Lake; and step daughters Marilyn Sims of Rapid City and Carol VonKampen of Sterling Heights.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Aurelia.
Funeral services will take place in Farmington. Memorials may be contributed to the Alzheimer's Association.
