Charles H "Grizz" Lloyd Jr, of Rapid City, died Sun, May 6, 2001, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. He was 74.
Mr. Lloyd resided in Parma until 16 years ago when he moved to Kalkaska County. A sales representative for Procter & Gamble, he retired after 31 years of service. He served in the Navy during WWII, and was a member of the VFW in Lincoln Park. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shuffleboard.
He was born in River Rouge on Jun 14, 1926, to Charles H and Rhea (Pilon) Lloyd. On Oct 2, 1971, he married Linda Burns. She survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Renee Beeler of Kalkaska and Stephanei Cox of Biloxi, MS; his mother Rhea Lloyd of Florida; brothers, George of Fowlerville and Ronald of Flat Rock; sister, Dolores Caldwell of Florida; and grandchildren Eric, Corinna, Jason, Angela, Nicole, Cortney, Shelby and Derrik.
Memorial services were held May 9, 2001, at the home of Renee Beeler. Rev. Ken Doss officiated.
