Charles E. Jordan, 76, of Fife Lake, died Tue, Jan 18, 2000, at Munson Medical Center. 

He was born in Blytheville, Ark, on Jul 3, 1923, the son of Porter and Mamie Daniels Jordan. He was married to Julia Dake in Kalamazoo on Oct 21, 1972. 

Mr. Jordan resided in Portage until 1975, when he moved to Fife Lake. He served in the U.S Navy during WWII, and was a member of the VFW in Kalamazoo. He enjoyed outdoor sports, reading and especially his grandchildren. 

Surviving are wife Julia; daughter Charla Jordan of Marlo, OK; stepsons Robert Dake, Ronald Dake, Charles Dake, and Joseph Dake, all of Fife Lake; eight grandchildren; four sisters in law; five brothers in law; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were Jan 21 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Pastor Dan Ingersoll officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
