Charles E. Beeman, 84, of Empire, died Wed at Leelanau county Medical Care Facility after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sat at Empire Methodist Church with Rev. Merle Culver of Traverse City officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery in Empire.
Mr. Beeman was born in Benzie County on Feb 7, 1882, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beeman. He had lived most of his life in Leelanau country where he was a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie and a brother, William of Empire.
The body is at the Bennett funeral Home, Benzonia, where it will remain until Sat at noon.
