Charles A. Sandusky, 70, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of Detroit, passed away on Sat, Dec 6 at his cottage in Rapid City. He was born on Nov 15, 1938 in Lepanto, AR to the late John and Athalee (McKenzie) Sandusky.
Charles retired from the General Motors Poletown Plant in Hamtramck after 28 years of service. He was a craftsman woodworker who could build anything. He was also an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish.
Charles was a very loving husband and father who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Sharon, his children: Lisa G (Tom) Bawol of Warren, Charles A Sandusky Jr of NC, Terrance (Mary) Sandusky, of Redford, Gary (Debbie) Hall of Westland, and Demetria Harrison of Taylor; siblings, Joanne (Nick) Nick of Detroit and Randy (Linda) Sandusky of Southgate; and 14 grandchildren.
Preceding Charles in death were his parents, his brother, Bobbie Sandusky, and his daughter, Christina Hewitt.
Visitation was held on Sun, Dec 14 from 1 to 2:30 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.
