Chad C. Wood, 18, of Kalkaska, died Thursday afternoon, April 19, 1990, of leukemia at Munson Medical Center of Traverse City.
Chad was a senior at Kalkaska High School. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the National Honor Society, the Kalkaska United Methodist Youth Group, the Varsity Club, the Spanish Club, the Cross Country Track Team, and was an Eagle Scout.
He was born in Indianapolis, Ind. on Sept. 11, 1971, to Stafford and Thensia Johnson Wood.
Surviving are his parents; one brother Joel, and one sister, Erin, both at home; his paternal grandparents, William and Catherine Wood of Carefree, Ariz; his maternal grandparents, Durwood and Clara Johnson of Ludington; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services were held Sunday, April 22, 1990, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska.
Visitation was Saturday at the Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
