Carlton V. Brooks, 53, of Edmore, died Friday evening, Jun 25, 1999, at Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview.
He was born Jul 4, 1945, the son of Basil and Loretta (Ruthruff) Brooks in Edmore. Mr. Brooks was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, commander of Edmore VFW Post 2292 and vice commander of AMVETS 588.
Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his father Basil, and sister Iris.
He is survived by special friend Barb Smith; sons Todd (Pam) Brooks of Edmore, and Scott Brooks and Lisa Hendricks of Kalkaska; daughters Vernus Brooks, LaTricia (Christopher) Schobert of SC and Holly Brooks of Kalkaska; mother Loretta Rathbun of Lakeview; 10 grandchildren; and niece Sherry Hiel of Lansing.
Funeral services were Jun 29 at Faith United Methodist Church in Edmore.
Arrangements were made by Stebbins-McCullough Chapel in Edmore.
