Carl L Birdsall Sr, 94, of Rapid City, died Mon, Mar 13, 2000, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Birdsall was born in Indian River on Jun 7, 1905, son of the late Victor and Esther Whitman Birdsall. He married Mildred Wolcott in Williamsburg on Sep 22, 1926. She died on Apr 27, 1983.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Birdsall was employed by the railroad and in church construction. He had been a lifelong resident of Antrim and Kalkaska counties, and was a member of the Bates Missionary Church.
Surviving are sons Frank Birdsall of East Jordan and Jack (Carolyn) Birdsall of Miami, FL; daughters Patricia Weesner of Mancelona, Rosalie (Phil) Mayer of Allons, TN, and Eudora Peck of Rapid City; daughter in law, Nora Birdsall of Bronx, NY and Wilma Birdsall of Kalkaska; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Sons Verlin, Carl Jr and Robert preceded him in death.
Funeral services are 2 pm Wed, Mar 15 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev Joseph Purdy will officiate. Burial will be in the Star Township Cemetery in Alba.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Bates Missionary Church.
