Carl H. Hogerheide, 74, a lifelong resident of South Boardman, died Tuesday, July 24, 1990 at Munson Medical Center, in Traverse City.
A retired owner of Hogerheide Trucking, Mr. Hogerheide was a member of the Kalkaska Masonic Lodge. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Hogerheide was born in South Boardman on May 2, 1916 to Eman and Edna (Young) Hogerheide, Sr. He was married on June 30, 1938 in Gaylord to Grace Swanson, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald Hogerheide and Steve Hogerheide, both of South Boardman; three daughters, Patricia Kniss of South Boardman, Linda Belcher of Traverse City, and Karla Hadley of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; three brothers, Martin Hogerheide of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Eman Hogerheide Jr and Merwin Hogerheide, both of South Boardman. Fifteen grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, also survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 26, 1990 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges pastor of the Kalkaska Peoples Church officiated. Burial was in the Boardman Township Cemetery in Kalkaska County.
