Brian Joseph Valdez, 11, of Benzonia, died Friday, Oct. 19, 1990 at Paul Oliver Hospital following a long illness.
Brian was born August 27, 1979, in Traverse City, to Nick and Julie Kniss Valdez.
Surviving are his parents of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Nicholas Valdez of Benzonia; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kniss, Jr. of South Boardman; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Valdez of Phoenix, Ariz.; his foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Kimbler of Benzonia; his maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kniss Sr. and Mrs. Grace Hogerheide all of South Boardman; his paternal great-grandmother, Sara Dunaway of Detroit; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct 22, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Mark McCool pastor of the Antrim Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
