Bonnie L Gilkerson, 72, of Kalkaska, died Jan 29, 2000, at home in Georgetown, FL.
Mrs. Gilkerson was born Apr 25, 1927, to Edward and Mildred (Dietz) VanDenHout. On Jul 16, 1946, in Gladwin, she married John H Gilkerson.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and traveling. She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall and she never lost her faith in Jehovah.
Surviving is her loving and devoted husband; son Lee (Susan) Gilkerson of Kalkaska; daughter Susan (LeRoy) Dimon of Kalkaska; brothers Kay (Valerie) VanDenHout of North Wales, United Kingdom, James (Genevieve) VanDenHout of Fairbanks, AK, and Robert (Leslie) VandenHout of Hudsonville; sister Barbara Ring of Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two nieces; three nephews; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Theodore VanDenHout and nephews Robert VanDenHout.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Kalkaska.
