Mrs. Betty Jo Halpin, 43, of Kalkaska, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1989, of injuries suffered in an auto accident near Kalkaska.
She moved to Kalkaska 13 years ago from Brighton. Mrs. Halpin was a graduate of Hartland High School, and was a member of the Spencer Church of Christ.
She was born in Brighton on May 29, 1946, to Ronald and Helen Browning Brown. On Aug 8, 1964, in Hartland, she was married to Robert M. Halpin who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Robert M. Halpin, Jr. of Howell; one daughter, Denise Halpin of Howell; her mother, Helen Brown of Howell; two brothers, Harry Brown of Howell, and Richard Brown of Fowlerville; and one sister, Dorothy Lobdell of Dearborn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1989, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Michael Steere, pastor of the Spencer Church of Christ, officiated. Cremation followed services.
