Betty J. Allen, of Flint, age 86, died Mon, Dec 26, 2011 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 1pm Thu, Dec 29, 2011 at the Swartz Funeral Home, Chaplain Burt Davis officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation 11am to 8pm Wed at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family. Betty was born in Pinconning, MI on Feb 26, 1925. She married Phillip Allen in Flint. Betty volunteered for many years at Potter Elementary School.
Surviving are children, Grace and husband Frank Kirby of Beaverton, Richard and wife Jeanette Allen of Otisville, David and wife Susan Allen of Swartz Creek, Linda Allen of Flint, Scottie and wife Dawn of Davison; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Irving of Goodrich and Barbara and husband William Clay of Flint; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip and son Lonnie.
