Betty J. Cook passed away on Apr. 3, 2010 at the age of 79.
Betty was a very devoted mother, taking special care of her son Jack for many years. She was also an avid Detroit sports fan.
She was the beloved wife of Daniel Cook for more than 60 years; loving mother of Jack Cook, Jeffrey (Dorthea) Cook and Randy (Vickie) Cook; dearest grandmother of Andrew (Holly), Christopher, Carmen, Adam, Anthony and Heidi (Mike). She is also survived by her sister, Annette (Bob) Johnston of Muskegon, and sister-in-law, Florence Dontje of Manton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy Dontje; brothers, Stanley and Harold Dontje; sister, Eleanor Seeley; brother-in-law, George Seeley; and sister-in-law, Virginia Dontje.
She was also an avid Detroit sports fan and enjoyed playing Bunco.
Memorial Service will be Fri, Apr 9, 2010 at 6 pm at Coats Funeral Home, Waterford. Pastor Tom Hampton officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Fri from 5pm until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be considered to the family for home health care of Betty’s disable son c/o Randy Cook, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
