Betty Jean (Blue) Bigler, 82, went to be with the Lord on Mar 5, 2006.
Jean was born on Nov 19, 1923, at the home of midwife Emma Skillman on Shippy Rd in Kalkaska County. She was the second daughter born to Harry and Allene (Wilmot) Blue.
On Feb 2, 1942, she married Walter Bigler of the Langston/ Stanton area, adn they worked a large farm there for years.
Jean loved dogs and always had a couple. She had an infectious laugh that made you laugh to hear her.
Jean was an avid gardener, made beautiful quilts and braided rugs. She was an excellent deer hunter and a pretty good whittler.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Walter; older sister, Joyce Combs; and two nephews.
She is survived by her son, Harry (Ann) Bigler; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Clarice Coger of Falmouth and Charlene (Don) Wood of Kalkaksa.
