Betty Jane Worfel, 70, of Traverse City, died Fri,, Dec 13, 1996 at Munson Medical Center.
She had been a resident of Grand Traverse County since 1985.
Mrs. Worfel was born on Mar 10, 1926, in Grand Rapids to Harold and Hazel Eggleston Bale. On Jun 17, 1948, in Grand Rapids, she married Dale Worfel, who survives.
Also surviving are son Robert M Worfel of Conyers, GA; daughter Susan Dietrich of Kalkaska; sister Mary Jean Hodge of Colorado Springs, CO; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Dec 16, 1996 at Porter Hills Presbyterian Village in grand Rapids. Rev. Hank Post officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
