Mrs. Bethel Vipond, 91, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Apr 13, 1994 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Vipond had been a life-long resident of Kalkaska County. She attended local public schools, and taught in the county for years. She enjoyed her family, gardening and animals, and she had a strong faith in her Lord.
Born on Nov 2, 1902, in Kalkaska County, she was the daughter of Hershell and Dora Grow Beaver. On Sep 25, 1920, she married Walter Vipond, who died on Jun 20, 1949.
Surviving are one sons, Wendell (Ruth) Vipond of Williamsburg; two daughters in law, Jeanette Vipond of Kalkaska and Ellen Vipond of Lompoc, CA; one brother, Donald Beaver of Kalkaska; one sister, Oneta Johnson of Greenville; eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Rupert and Clinton; one daughter, Wanda; one brother, Dewey Beaver and one granddaughter, Wilda Jean.
Funeral services were held Sat, Apr 16, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska. Memorial contributions may be given to the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center's Long-term Care Unit.
