Berthel B. Finney, 55, of Mancelona, died Tue, May 12, 1998, at his residence.
Mr. Finney had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist at Super Tool Company in Elk Rapids. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war.
Born in Detroit on Apr 28, 1943, he was the son of Berthel M and Helen Dilly Finney. On May 2, 1970, in Kalkaska, he was united in marriage with Ordelle Dingman who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters Carla (Dan) Parkin of Lakeview, Tina (Rick) Hosler of Rapid City, and Jerrie Gaylord of Port Clinton, OH; brother Larry of Washington; sisters Lorna Sullinger of Salem, OR, and Linda Hodgerhyde of Alba; six grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held May 16 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Ron Gay officiated. Cremation followed funeral services.
