Benjamin Lee Gonyer, 34, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Fife Lake, passed away on July 29, 2016. He was born on February 5, 1982 in Traverse City. Ben loved to read and anything computer related; he also enjoyed fishing and would always laugh at a good joke. He was a hard worker, and had a willingness to help others. He will be greatly missed by those who survive him, especially his mother Pearl Gonyer; great aunt and uncle, Gertrude and Louis Gonyer and cousin Mark Gonyer; aunts and uncles: Brian (Joanna) Gonyer, Debby (Jim Cummer) Gonyer, Joanna (Tim) Durfee, Jason (Wendy Warner) Gonyer and Adam (Jenny) Gonyer; nieces and nephews: Ashley, Emily, Caitlyn, Ray, Lisa, Jessica, Maddie, Molly, Emma, Ethan, Anna, Leah, Garrett, Breanna, Eli, Kylee, Elly; second cousins: Mason, Audrina, and Jessa; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art, Linda and Diane Gonyer. Visitation will be from 4-6pm on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Kalkaska Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3 pm on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Kalkaska Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery in Fife Lake.
