Beatrice Josephine Hamel, 82, of Cadillac died Thursday, Jan. 11, 1990 at her home.
Mrs. Hamel was born May 14, 1907 in Kalkaska to Warren and Sophia (Johnson) Huffman. She married John Hamel who preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1984.
Mrs. Hamel lived most of her late in Cadillac and attended Cadillac Public Schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cadillac and Lydia Esther Circle of the Church. She was a member of the Friendship Chain from the area and active with 4-H, the Grange and Home Economic Extension.
Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia (Mrs. Ted) Gomolak of Kalamazoo; a brother, Kenneth Huffman of Lansing; a sister, Minnie Mattison of Cadillac; a special cousin, Mildred Lewis of Kalkaska; and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 13, 1990 at the United Methodist Church in Cadillac, the Rev. Richard Wilson officiated. Arrangements were made through Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
