Mrs. Beatrice I Amidon, 96, of Rapid City, died Wed, Feb 28, 1996 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center in the Long-term Care Unit.
Mrs. Amidon moved from Maple City to Rapid City in 1931. She was a member of the Rapid City Assembly of God and was affiliated with the Kalkaska Church of the Nazarene.
She was born on Jun 1, 1899, in Whitaker, to John A. and Ellen Gould Gabel. On Aug 21, 1919, in Maple City, she married William Amidon, who preceded her in death on Nov 16, 1939.
Surviving are one son, Darrel (Esther) Amidon of Rapid City; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Beatrice Amidon, Marie Amidon, and Marion Amidon; two brothers John and David Gabel; and one grandson, Charles Amidon.
Funeral services were held Fri, Mar 1, 1996 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. David McCool officiated. Burial will be in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
