Barbara Peconge-Blair, 67, died Tue, Apr 22, 2008 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a Teacher’s Assistant at Fort Wayne Community Schools for 16 years and was a member of St Charles Borromeo Church.
Barbara graduated from North Side High School. She married Elmer Peconge, Jr on Feb 13, 1960. He passed away on Sep 24, 1979. She married Larry Blaire on Oct 5, 1985. Barbara loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, going to the lake, and being outdoors. She wished to be remembered by her family and friends in life and not in death.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Blair of Fort Wayne; sons, Michael D Peconge of Cincinnati, OH and Jeffery W (Becki) Peconge of Fort Wyane, Michele M Roebel of Fremont; grandchildren, Stephen, Ryon, and Kori Peconge, Kaitlin, Zachary, and Austin Roebel, Darin and Gavin Shaw, Brandon and Samantha Thacker, Rachel and Kyle Burke; sisters, Betty Boissenet, Joan Gorrell , and Patricia Nagel, all of Fort Wayne; and her beloved Yorkies, Harriett and Harley. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer F Peconge Jr; sister Mary Margaret Boehme; brother, James J Barva; and parents, George E and Mary B Barva. Private family services at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
