Mrs. Avis L. Hough, 79, of Bear Lake, Kalkaska County, died Thursday evening, Dec 23, 1993 at Munson Medical Center.
After retirement as the bookkeeper in the Fenton School System, Avis and Ron moved to Bear Lake in 1970. Avis was a member of the RLDS Church and Eastern Star. She loved to travel and appreciated the gorgeous mountains, meadows, and oceans of our country.
She was born Feb 25, 1914, in Grand Rapids, to Glenn and Florence Enders DeLano. On Mar 10, 1934, in Comstock, she married Ronald Hough.
Mrs. Hough is survived by her devoted husband; one son, James A. Hough (Florence) of Grayling; one daughter, Marcia Spitzley (Mike) of Janesville, WI; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren and three great step great grandchildren.
She will be missed by all, but the courageous way she lived her life will be left in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held Tue, Dec 28, 1993 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Foster McCool will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Grayling.
