Audrey M Irish, departed this life on Mon, May 16, 2005, in Calico Rock, AR, at the age of 89 years, five months, and three days.
Graveside services were held on May 20, 2005, at the Oakwood Cemetery in Fenton. Memorials may be made to the Calico Rock United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Audrey was born on Dec 13, 1915, in Livingston County, the daughter of the late Grover and Charlotte Wright Seaton. She was united in marriage to Almond "Mike" Irish on Jul 2, 1934 and from this union, three children were born.
Audrey spent her life as a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.
As a child, she attended the Fenton United Methodist Church. As an adult, she was a member of the East Boardman United Methodist Church.
After retirement, she attended the United Methodist Church in Mtn. View, AR. Later she joined the Spring Creek United Methodist Church in Calico Rock. She was a member of the Good Neighbors Club for Senior Citizens for 40 years. Audrey was a lifetime member of the American Sunday School Union, now known as the American Missionary Fellowship.
Audrey leaves to mourn her passing; one daughter, Rena Ellen Labyer of Mountain View, AR; two sons, Grover Allen Irish of Flint, and Michael Wilbur Irish of Gaylord; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Almond "Mike" Irish; stepmother, Maude Wright Seaton; one sister, Kathryn Marie Seaton Hixon; and one daughter in law, Sharon Smith Irish.
Services were handled by McConnell Funeral Home, 500 Main St, Fenton.
