Arthur C. Thornton, 94, a resident of Kalkaska for the past 25 years, died Sunday, November 11, 1990 at his residence.
Mr. Thornton was employed by Oldsmobile Corporation in Lansing prior to his retirement in 1964. He was a former member of the Odd Fellow Lodge.
He was born in Missaukee County on August 23, 1896, son of the late Ransom and Hattie Butler Thornton.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; one brother, Colby; and four sisters, July Stout, Ruth Shrontz, Viola Fletcher, and Winifred McKeown.
Surviving are one daughter Juanita Thornton of Lansing; one sister, Beulah Johnson of Lake City; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Nov. 13, 1990, at Stitsville Cemetery. Rev. Cindy Schaefer officiated.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
