Arlys Roy Morey, 90, of White Pigeon died Mon, Nov 6, 1995, at Fairview Living Centre in Centerville.
Mr. Morey was born Oct 7, 1905, to Roy Belding and Eva Leona (Boyer) Morey in Sherman. He was married to Olive I Beach, Aug 25, 1925, in Pontiac. She preceded him in death on Jun 25, 1994.
Mr. Morey retired in 1968 from Coldwater Brass. He had also been employed at Continental Can in Grand Rapids and had been a farmer in his early life. He had been a patient at Fairview for the past year coming from White Pigeon where he had lived since 1991. He had also resided in Constantine, Bronson, and Kalkaska. He had enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are two daughters: Shirley I Armstrong of White Pigeon, and Mrs. Roger (Ritabell) Wilks of Kentwood; eight sons: Mervin J Morey of Wyoming, MI, Robert D. Morey of Jenison, George C and Leslie J Morey both of Kalkaska, Frederick E. Morey of Shipshewana, IN, Ronald K and Jerry L Morey of South Bend, IN; 42 grandchildren;52 great grandchildren; two sisters: Thorabell Smith and Lettiejane Crake both of Mesa, AZ; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Edith S. Cowels; son Melvin R. Morey; granddaughter Penny Sue Morey; grandson Michael J Morey; and sister Thelma Ward.
Funeral services were held Nov 8, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Rev. Bret McAtee officiated. He was buried at Matteson Township Cemetery in Bronson.
