Ambrose L Stampfler, 78, of 6565 Lindsey Road, died Wednesday in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, shortly after his arrival. He was taken to the hospital after being stricken at his residence.
He was born in Fife Lake and had resided in the Delton area many years. He was a retired industrial plant security officer.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Runyan; sons, Ambrose B of Kalamazoo, and Bernard Stampfler of Orangeville; a stepson, John Lenz of Fine Lake; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Violet Armstrong of Kalamazoo, and a brother, Joseph Stampfler of Delton.
Services will be held at 1pm Sat in Orangeville Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Williams Funeral Home.
